Mandatory Reporter Training
To report suspected child abuse, call 855-503-SAFE (7233) 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Learn more about your role and how to fulfill your responsibilities as a mandatory reporter in Oregon. All adults in Oregon can benefit from this training. We all have a critical role in supporting child safety. Be part of the solution by getting trained to understand what is, and is not, child abuse in Oregon.

Participants will learn how to:
- Identify types and signs of abuse
- Understand how biases impact reporting
- Know when they are obligated to make a report
- Make a report
Groups of learners may request an in-person or virtual training. These trainings are facilitated by specially trained ODHS Child Welfare or Children’s Advocacy Center staff.
Many Children’s Advocacy Centers across the state may also provide prevention trainings for the community. Click the link below to find your local center.
